It is 18-gauge steel, sealed and gasketed, with square urn corners and silver swingbar handles. Half couch. Made for a military funeral, where the flag is draped over the closed lower half and folded at the graveside. It fits a standard burial vault and is rated to 500 pounds. Do we need to buy a flag?
No. A burial flag is provided at no cost for eligible veterans through the VA, and the funeral home will normally handle the request. Ask them for VA Form 27-2008 if they have not raised it.
