Cremation Caskets

These caskets are all eligible for cremation, in materials such as pine, oak, cherry, seagrass, willow, bamboo and cloth-covered wood. Some are cremation containers, built light and inexpensive because the shell is consumed rather than buried. Most are full caskets that can be buried or cremated, and are equally suitable for a viewing or a full service beforehand. Gauge, finish, interior fabric and hardware are listed on every casket — 20-gauge and 18-gauge steel, solid hardwood, stainless and solid copper — so you can weigh one model against another instead of guessing.

The FTC's Funeral Rule requires a funeral home to accept a casket you bought elsewhere, and bars it from charging you a fee to handle it. Tell them it is coming — that is all that is required.

You are buying from the warehouse rather than a showroom floor, which is where the traditional markup sits. Nothing is added afterwards for commission or for making the arrangements.
