It darkens slowly into a patina instead, which is most of the reason it costs what it does and the reason families choose it when they are thinking in decades rather than years. Moss pink velvet inside, with embroidery worked into the overthrow and the cap panel, over an adjustable bed. Sealed with a one-piece rubber gasket and a locking mechanism, on a bottom fastened with Batesville's PerfectLink system. Swing bar hardware, shaded finish.
