Frequently Asked Questions

Sealed or non-sealed?
Both — tell us which you need when you order. Non-sealed has no rubber gasket clamping the lid to the shell. Some cemeteries and green burial grounds require it, and it costs less. No casket, sealed or not, preserves remains indefinitely.
What is this casket made of?
The Infinite Gold is made of 20-gauge steel.
Is this casket sealed?
Yes. It is gasketed and sealed, which resists the entry of air and moisture. No casket, sealed or otherwise, preserves remains indefinitely, and some cemeteries do not permit sealed caskets — it is worth asking yours before you decide.
Is this a full couch or half couch casket?
Half couch. Only the upper half of the lid opens, which is the arrangement most families see at a viewing.
Can we buy a casket here and use our own funeral home?
Yes. The FTC Funeral Rule requires a funeral home to accept a casket you bought elsewhere, and they may not charge you a handling fee for it.

The Discount Caskets Promise

Buying direct should be simple, and the price you are quoted should be the price you pay. This is what we hold ourselves to.

Specified in full, so you can compare

Gauge, finish, interior fabric and hardware are listed on every casket — 20-gauge and 18-gauge steel, solid hardwood, stainless and solid copper — so you can weigh one model against another instead of guessing.

A delivery date worked out per casket

Each product page calculates its own arrival date from the order cutoff and that casket's real lead time, and shipping is free rather than a number that appears at checkout.

Federal law is on your side

The FTC's Funeral Rule requires a funeral home to accept a casket you bought elsewhere, and bars it from charging you a fee to handle it. Tell them it is coming — that is all that is required.

Warehouse prices, starting at $995

You are buying from the warehouse rather than a showroom floor, which is where the traditional markup sits. Nothing is added afterwards for commission or for making the arrangements.

Good Product / Note for Communication

Hello Joe. Thank you for providing a beautiful casket for my mother. While the color was closer to cooper than gold, it was still a beautiful casket. May only note would be to improve communication to your clients, especially surrounding delivery date/times. As you can imagine, the time surrounding when a purchase of a casket is often very stressful and timelines may also be constrained. Actively (and proactively) communicating with your clients, I'm sure would be greatly appreciated. It is stressful to not get return calls. In the end, all was good and I thank you for that.
